Basic direction
This website serves as the online presence of the  Interdisciplinary Centre for Urban Culture and Public Space at the Department of Spatial Planning at the Faculty of Architecture and Planning at the Technische Universität Wien. This website informs about teaching and research as well as news in the scope of the Centre.

1. Content of the website
The media content provider holds no warranty for the actuality, correctness, completeness or quality of the provided information. the media content provider assumes no liability for material or mental damages, which may have arisen by the usage or non-usage of the provided informations or inaccurate and incomplete information, if there is no gross negligence on the part of the media content provider. All provided information is free and non-binding. The media content provider can change, update or delete parts of the pages or the whole website without explicit announcement.

2. Blog
The blog serves as a medium of communication for various private, institutional and university users without any commercial interest by the media content provider. The naming of products refers only to products mentioned in the respective blogs/sites/forums and serves as privat information for the readers. Comments in the blog or the comment function may not correspond to the opinion of the media content provider and as such the media content provider holds no warranty for those statements. If the blog contains texts, images, links or services that are legally or ethically questionable, the media content provider asks to be notified via email in order to delete such contents.

3. Hyperlinks to external websites
Our websites contain so-called hyperlinks to websites of other providers. For contents on websites of other providers the media content provider of this website (SKuOR) does not accept liability unless this media content provider is aware of the content of the sites in question and is in a position to, and has the technical capacity to, prevent the use of illegal contents.

This Website (https://skuor.tuwien.ac.at/) is operated by the Interdisciplinary Centre for Urban Culture and Public Space (E280.A1) at the Department of Spatial Planning (E280) of the TU Wien, Augasse 2–6, 2. 5.1. The scope of data processing

Every time you visit our website, our system automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the calling computer. The following data is collected:

  • the internet site which accesses our website.
  • the country from which our website is accessed
  • and certain cookies (see Point 2 below)

5.2. Use of cookies and tracking-tools

5.3. Purpose of data processing

Your personal data is used for the following purposes:

  • to provide, operate and improve this website
  • to create user statistics (e.g. for estimations on the range and resonance of calls and event announcements on this website)
  • to recognize, examine and avert possible security breaches

5.4. Legal basis of data processing

The legal basis for processing your personal data is based on our legitimate interest (sec 6,par 1 (f), EU General Data Protection Regulation) to fulfil the above mentioned purposes.

5.5. Transmission of personal data

For the purposes above mentioned your personal data is transmitted to the following recipients:

  • IT service providers employed by us (TU Wien internal IT personnel and the website administrator)
  • KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden (as partner of the joint visiting professorship program)

Some of the recipients mentioned above are located or process your data outside your country. The data protection laws in other countries may not comply with the European data protection standards. We transfer your data only to countries, that have appropriate data protection standards according to the EU commission.

5.6. Duration of data processing

Your data will be processed for a maximum duration of 14 months.

5.7. Objections

When processing your personal data on the basis of legitimate interests, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data if there are reasons for doing so which arise from your particular situation or from the use of direct advertising. In the case of direct advertising, you have a general right of objection which we put into effect without your having to state a particular situation.

5.8. Rights of data subjects

In your capacity as a data subject, GDPR grants you the following rights when your personal data are


  • the right to information
  • the right to rectification
  • the right to erasure
  • the right to restriction of processing of your personal data
  • the right to data portability
  • the right to object.

If you believe that the processing of your data breaches data protection law or that your data protection claims have been breached in some other way, you can complain to the Data Protection Authority.
