From 9th to 14th of May 2011, the Interdisciplinary Centre for Urban Culture and Public Space (SKuOR) is hosting an excursion to Budapest within the module 11 „Urban culture, public space and markets: Economy and innovation”. Only few seats left!



In case you are interested in …

  • exploring Budapest together with an international team of teachers and students coming from various disciplinary backgrounds,
  • learning more about (street) markets, informal economies, urban culture and public spaces on site,
  • joining us during an explorative journey in Budapest together with local stakeholders and experts off beaten tourist tracks,
  • explorative and innovative work on the interface between urban research and urban design/planning,

Formalities and expenses



Journey: per train on 9th of May 2011 in the morning (time of train departure 7.09 am Wien Meidling) || Return trip: per train on 14th of May 2011 in the afternoon (time of train departure 3.10 pm Budapest Keleti)

Due to financial support by Vienna UT, own resources amount to approx. 120€ p.c. (accommodation, journeys, rents, possible entrance fees). Working language is English.

Dr. Sabine Knierbein (Interdisciplinary Centre for Urban Culture and Public Space – SkuOR), the City of Vienna Visiting Professors 2011 Prof. Dr. Sophie Watson (Open University, UK) and Dipl.-Kfm. Tore Dobberstein (complizen Planungsbüro, Berlin) as well as the external experts DI Roland Krebs (Wien) and Levente Polyàk, MAS (Budapest) are looking forward to an exciting workshop in Budapest!
