Angelika Gabauer is University Assistant and doctoral candidate at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Urban Culture and Public Space, TU Wien. She holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Vienna, and studied Spatial Planning at TU Wien. Her primary focus is the field of political theory and its interface with urban studies. Her interests include theories of democracy, affect theory, planning theory, research on (urban) space, ageing, and feminist approaches to planning and the distribution of (public) space. She was a research fellow in the international research project Geographies of Age (2018–2020), a cooperation between partners of ETH Zurich, KTH Stockholm and TU Wien. Her doctoral thesis explores the interplay of ageing, subjectivity, and urban space production: Ageing, Space and Subjectivity: A Study of Ageing in the City..
