Prof. DI Dr. Arthur Kanonier

“For the study field of spatial planning and spatial organisation the teaching and research inputs as regards urban culture and public spaces represent important complements as well as advanced insights of the current academic curriculum. This is due to the fact that urban cultural tasks as well as the manifold aspects of public spaces have become central tasks for planning. At the interface of theory and practice and the economic, social as well as environmental demands with their own respective expressions of interests, challenges for planning as well as different problem-solving approaches have been increasing.

The transdisciplinary approach of the Interdisciplinary Centre as well as its international orientation e.g. realized by integrating guest professors and -lecturers will contribute essentially to make the offered curriculum more attractive and to provide an improved positioning of the field of studies.”
