WORKSHOP – Role Play Game: Experiencing Collaborative Decision-Making Process in Urban Design
WHO?
The event is organized by Middle East Technical University Faculty of Architecture, City and Regional Planning Department in partnership with TU Wien, Interdisciplinary Centre for Urban Culture and Public Space.
HOW?
Within the workshop, participants will experience the conflict resolution and negotiation process by taking and playing roles of different actors in an emancipatory environment as an alternative to top-down decision-making processes in urban design. The participants will have the opportunities to learn how urban spaces are being shaped in different contexts, and to experience a different design method, design game, where they perform different roles of actors, resolve the conflict within and negotiate towards a common benefit.
