Modul 11

Urban Generations. Public Space, Ageing Society and New Health Conditions

Module 11 compiles a set of integrated courses at the interface of the fields of urban studies, urban planning and urban design. In 2020/21, the main focus will be on “Urban Generations. Public Space, Ageing Society and New Health Conditions”.

The module consists of three courses:

Students are highly recommended to take part in all three courses.

***In accordance with further pandemic developments, teaching will be either offered as presence teaching or in a distance learning format.***

The courses mainly address master students (late Bachelor or early doctorate) from the fields of  spatial planning, architecture, urban studies, urban design, geography, sociology, social design, landscape architecture, cultural studies. The course language is English. We support students’ active participation in debates and interactive teaching formats, and encourage you to bring in and develop your own ideas and critical perspectives. To take part in all three courses of the module 11 please register for module 11 via TISS course LE 280.534 until 4th October 2020. Further course registration will be carried out directly at the kick-off meeting on 5 October 2020, 9am in Seminar Room Argentinierstraße.

The main body of teaching will be delivered during three intensive teaching blocks (ITB):

ITB I  19 – 23 October 20
ITB II  30 November – 4 December 20
ITB III  18 – 22 January 21
